About Milou

After studying law in Maastricht and at the College of Europe in Bruges, Milou Dijkman (1976) began her career as a lawyer at a large firm. In the years that followed, she made the switch to the government to work for the ‘public cause’. Eventually, she found her real passion in writing speeches and coaching professionals in the delivery of these stories. And, so, she founded Souls on Stage, with the motto: “Your vibes speak louder than your words”. Having a good story is important, but it only becomes truly inspiring when it is carried by the ‘vibes’ of the speaker.

With her many years of experience in the corporate world and working with clients in all areas of the economy, ranging from the world of science to the entertainment industry, Milou has become a true all-round public speaking coach and trainer.

Her coaching focuses on both the creation of the story and the person behind the speaker.

Among her clients are TED speakers, Women of the Year, entrepreneurs, professors, lawyers, managers and directors up to the executive level. She also works with young professionals who are keen to have their voice be heard more.

Besides being a public speaker coach, Milou has also been trained as a life coach and has followed courses in the field of body awareness. Her reason why? “Public speaking is not just a skill, but a wonderful gateway to personal growth.” That growth creates space for more awareness, personal insights and co-creation between the head, heart, and voice.

Additionally, she is regularly asked to speak at events and to act as chairperson or moderator.

Milou is a teacher at the Dutch School for Presentation Coaching.

She lives in The Hague together with her son and daughter.
